Chris founded Revolutio in 2012 as a part-time endeavour while working as a consulting structural engineer, but the underlying work can be traced back to his time as an undergraduate at the University of Sydney in 2007. He has worked for Taylor Thomson Whitting, SCP Consulting and Opus International Consultants and was involved in a number of high-profile engineering projects across Oceania, such as retrofitting walkways to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, earthquake assessments in Christchurch, and developing a tablet-based structural inspection application for the Northwest Rail Link.

CHECKPOLE v6.4.0 is now live and can be downloaded here. New features and enhancements include:

  • LOADS: Specify headframe shape.
  • LOADS: Microwave dish antennas added to the standard ancillary library.
  • ANALYSIS: Headframes and ancillaries more accurately visualised based on K-means clustering.
  • ANALYSIS: Total Effective Projected Area (EPA) of headframes and associated ancillaries displayed.
  • ANALYSIS: Assumed ice buildup visualised for relevant load cases.

CHECKWIND v5.1.0 is now live and can be downloaded here. New features and enhancements include:

  • SITE: Ignore detected topographic features for analysis by clicking “Review…” and then clicking on the topographic feature.
  • PRESSURES: Specify two internal pressure coefficients and let CHECKWIND work out the critical net building pressures.
  • PRESSURES: View building pressure calculations by clicking on the relevant cell.

CHECKPOLE v6.3.0 is now live and can be downloaded here. New features and enhancements include:

  • SHAFT: Introduction of the Geometry Wizard to build simple poles in seconds.
  • SHAFT: Insert new pole segments above existing segments.
  • SHAFT: Type 4 openings can now be added to polygonal poles.
  • CONNECTIONS: Add backing rings to base connections.
  • SITE: Ignore detected topographic features for analysis by clicking “Review…” and then clicking on the topographic feature.
  • LOADS: Custom ancillaries are now saved to the *.ckp file to ensure compatibility when sharing files.
